We will need to agree to disagree. Many of my cars sit for months as well. With little more than 15 to 30 seconds of the starter turning and the choke pulled, they all start.

It helps a little. It's total BS but yep, the club in their infinite wisdom decided it was okay to run an electric pump for guys that can't otherwise figure out how to get their vehicle to run...
