Re: Take a gander at this.

Love to see more pics of the engine area. There doesn't seem to be a fan so is there an auxiliary pump. Also the exhaust is intriguing. Why does number 4 only appear to have a muffler.

Re: 1929 Gas Tank install

I don't think it really matters. Just depends on how limber you are if it's on the frame.

Yeah there's one in Roselle Illinois in March. Check with Marc Maron. It's indoor at a Ford dealership and features a lot of Model A parts. I always find something there.

Re: OK,I wanna change my......

That's how I do it but I do remove the shell so it doesn't bend. The hood has to come off but that's the simplest part of the whole thing.

Re: Any trick to getting the hinges out of 29 Roadster

Heat...lots of heat. Not propane. Oxy acetylene heat. It's the only thing that has ever worked for me.

Re: Mercury crankshaft

You need to get that thing balanced at a machine shop. I sincerely doubt it can be. That's probably why it's not in an engine. I wouldn't use it.

Re: How many different truck doors are there???

The passenger door shown is correct for your cab. You need to find a drivers side that is a mirror image. There is no difference from AA doors and A doors. Some AA doors had an indent in the drivers...

Re: Tig welding door panel questions

Butt weld...carefully measure your replacement panels and get as tight a fit as you can. Minimize the gap. I use those little panel welding connectors Eastwood sells.

Re: Identifying a model A frame

Look at the front crossmember. The radiator supports are different. 30 31's are lower.28 29's are even with the frame rail.

Re: New pistons, what brand?

You can get them at Ross Pistons as well I think but they are a lot more expensive. Ross makes pistons for race motors so you probably don't need that.
