Re: Narrow bed or wide bed

The 1930-31 Pickup/Truck share the same door with the Tudor sedan (Except for the incredibly rare truck doors with a dimple to clear a side spare tire). The 1930-31 Coupe door is about 1-1/2" shorter...

Re: 40-41 pickup bed

"VERY NICE" bed wood is available from Brad Brown (when he is off sabbatical), you pay for quality. Mack Products has bed to frame wood that is "simplified" from the original, and less expensive.

Re: '37 Body mounts / Door alignment

Three (at least) possibilities here:
1. Frame/body alignment. If the frame is sagging, humped, or twisted it needs to be fixed first, or you may be able to shim out of the problem.
2. Door hinge...

Re: 32 Duolamps

The rim with countersunk holes and the convex lens is what I have seen on 1935-36 pickups, and with research believe was used 1933-41+ pickup and 1933-40 station wagons. This is the style of rim and...

Re: 1932 Ford Subrail Frame Extensions

Just build your floor to support the back panel and corners of the body. Given you are channeling the body IF you had originals or accurate reproductions you would be cutting them up anyway.

Re: Early ford door striker identification please?

Standard answer #72... If likely Noughtaphord check with the people on the AACA forum, lots of obscure knowledge there.

Re: Does anyone else have this on their truck?

Typically a "midship" fire pump is designed to operate in the highest transmission gear. The transfer case engages the pump and disengages the the drive line from the rear axle (thus the need to...

Re: Does anyone else have this on their truck?

It fairly common (and "standard" now) to have a interlock to set the brakes before putting the pump in gear. That is likely part of a system of that sort.

Re: Are 1934 and 1935 auot bumpers the same?

In answer to the original question. 1934 and 1935 bumpers are different as 1934 has a single stripe, 1935 has a double stripe. 1934 and 1935 bumpers share the same external shape and mount hole...

Re: Help aligning body panels?

From what I am seeing there could be (but not necessarily are) underlying frame issues. Before attempting to align the doors I would recommend checking the frame for square, and for level. While...

Re: 39-40 rear window?

1. A pair of 1937-1939 doors.

2. The internal window felt retainer from a 1937-39, 1937-39 window felt kit, regulators, and bottom glass retaining channel. Then "unmodify" whatever there is at...

Re: Fender stuff - '35 pickup

The research I have done (without actual trial) is the best substitute available is the tape hockey players use on their sticks, could be the same as what baseball players use on bats.

Re: Windshield frame ?

1932-34 Pickup is a possibility, no wind deflector. It would need to be placed in a cab or fit against a known pickup frame to be sure.

Re: 1932 3W Door Check Strap

A trick to help avoid the buckling is to add a old style throttle return spring between the wheelwell and the end of the strap. This helps pull the strap into the body when closing.

Re: Ford 1935 - 1940 Open Car Door Latch

Ok, lets be careful her. Now three interrelated issues.

1. 1939 Sedan TRUNK Latch is very similar to 1937 (differs in mounting hole detail). 1940 is very different in it is longer to accommodate...
