Tilly's are good carbs. Like Patrick said what type of float needle do you have. Buy a viton tipped float valve they work better with the corn gas we have to use today.

Re: 6 to 12 Volt & Neg ground

You really should convert the starter to 12Volts or buy the gear reduction starter (mini starter). Before I converted mine to 12Volts, the 6Volt starter broke a barrel drive.

When I bought my P/U 30 years ago it had an in-line fuel filter and continues to have one today. Never had a filter problem.

Re: What happened to my horn?

If you have a 12 volt car follow Tom's advice above. His statement on horn resistors is also correct. My car is 12volts for the A/C! I rewound the field coils and the horn works great.

Re: Free wheeling

If you have a Borg Warner O/D it has a free wheeling state. With the lockout cable "in" and the solenoid un powered, your A will free wheel when you let up on the gas.

Re: Ultrasonic cleaner

I use it to clean pot metal carburetors. Use dish wash soap (liquid) in a beaker. Sonicate for 60 minutes at 40C. Does a great job. Don't know how it would work with a Zenith.

Re: Tool to Remove Generator/Starter Pole Pieces and Field Coils

I like drilling the screws, just need to drill a little beyond the taper on the head of the screw and then use a punch and few taps with a hammer and they break. You can usually unthread the screw...
