Stock style interior? My '40 has an old diamond tuck interior job. I'm not sure if the ashtrays are stock style or not. If you PM me an email i'll send you pics.

Re: Moonshine time

I went Saturday, but just as a spectator. Decent turn out even with the weather. Got a couple pics, but not as many as I’d like. There was a navy blue ‘40 Tudor I really liked.

Re: 40 ford wiring help

My factory horn is long gone so I didn't have to deal with this when I rewired mine. But the VanPelt diagram shows the single one that comes out closest to the firewall connects to the horn button...

Re: Carpenter Headlight Switch For '40

My first replacement switch was a dud. I had to get a second. It was a pain getting the shaft into either one. I think I jabbed the paperclip into my hand a couple times trying to hold the spring...

Re: 1940 tudor deluxe hood latch help needed!

Have you tried pressing down on the hood while you try to pull up on the latch? Its going to be tough if it is jammed somehow.

Where in GA are you located? If you aren't too far away I can swing by and lend a hand sometime.

37 aluminum intake stud replacement

Early Ford flathead factory aluminum intake. My carb studs, especially the rear one, should really be replaced. Is there a method to getting the old ones out without damaging the intake?

Re: Fuel pump stand with small pinholes usable?

Yeah, that's the one. I measured just the cast part and it's right around 3 inches tall. I think between the two I could make one good one. I'll send you a private message.

Thanks

Re: Fuel pump stand with small pinholes usable?

That would be fantastic! It's right at 4 3/4 from the base where it bolts to the intake to the top of the tube where the breather goes. Looks like the one in the link below.

Re: Fuel pump stand with small pinholes usable?

I thought about that, but didn't know how it would hold up to the heat inside the engine.

Fuel pump stand with small pinholes usable?

My fuel pump stand has some pitting and a few tiny pin holes in the steel tube that goes down into the intake. It was lightly media blasted. The metal is still solid, but will the small holes be a...

Re: Making your own vinyl/rubber floor?

Be aware Herculiner is very coarse. It's like coating your floor with a grinding disk.

Re: Making your own vinyl/rubber floor?

I've used a roll on bed liner in floor boards before on my old Jeep. Works great as long as the floors are roughed up a little and then cleaned really well. Don't get that bed liner stuff on your...

Re: Tightening the fan belt on a show car

Is it safe to use this method on one of the stock '37 aluminum intake manifolds? Or should I put a small piece of wood or something between the manifold and screw driver tip to protect the manifold?
