Re: Painting Engine

Depends. If you are going for preservation, then everything gets painted.

Originally the cast parts were painted after coming from the foundry. (likely this was done to allow the cast to...

Re: Model A Ford Woody - not built to the original Plans

I wonder if that thing is really that heavy? Look at how the wheels/tires are so far tucked under.

I have received numerous tanks where customers did the same thing at the recommendations of others only to have it fail. The issue is the bacterial will neutralize the rust flakes however it will...

I probably have a set of welded differential (spider) gears that I used when we were dirt track racing Model-As. Let me know if you need a set.

Re: Model A Woody

Carl Steenburg (sp??) was Ruth's brother if I recall correctly, however he is the one that owned Pleasantville that actually made the wood portions of the bodies. As I understand it, a couple of...

I do have a sample in the shop now, -and if I could ever get inside the Benson Library again, I could get many of the drawing to make accurate pieces. From what I have been told, several pieces that...

Re: Do you take your Model A to the local self serve car wash?
