Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall

Today they're dragging you through Gene Winfield's shop, complete with a curated tour by the man hisself! GOOD STUFF. They crash for the night among Gene's honey hole.

Re: Thanks Once Again To Charlie NY!!!!

Are we doing this again?

I've been around these forums for ten years almost. I've said way too many times the story about how Charlie and my Dad were tight. Therefore I've been riding around in...

Re: 1933 spring shackle studs?

And some new vocabulary words...

There's a specialty tool to take out the spring shackle bolt/liners, it presses them out then presses them in. They're a press fit so getting them out without...

Re: It's Friday. Time for a Flathead video. Crusty Flatty Pt.11.

Hi Mart, Thanks again for letting us into the shed. I'm not sure I love how a couple of those bores cleaned up. Can't wait for the next episode, should you put one out.

Re: 1936 Pickup High beam indicator light

Uh.. Nowhere?

How do you actuate your high beam?

I have a 36 Phaeton and a 35 Fordor Touring so no truck experience. As far as I know 1936 Fords had a switch in the center of the steering...

Re: Intake bolts THICK

Hi Michael. Super eye candy! Good on you.

No joke, I'm down for five sets as soon as they are done. ~$40 x 5 = $200. Done.

Send them to Rising Sun and bill them to me. He doesn't have any...

Re: rear axle nut torque

Here's another two cents worth...

How tight? Well, if it's not enough you will suffer.

When I disassembled my 35 Fordor prior to a 2k mile road trip last summer for a "simple" wheel bearing...

Re: 1950 F1 door won't open...

I think Scotty's onto something... He's describing what goes on with my 35 passenger car.

You might try a broom handle from the drivers side in the wing window to tap the passenger side handle...

Re: Hood Bumper Kit....

Hi Bruce, The 35-36 restoration book had good pics that I used when doing the hood corner bumpers on a passenger car.

I had a butt-ton of trouble on the corner pieces because the rubber didn't...

ITG IronTrap Garage name drops FordBarn on YouTube

Got a little YouTube addiction going yet? I do.

IronTrap Garage gives FordBarn a minor shout-out at 1:15 or so.

The topic is working on a supposedly desirable V-12 Lincoln red lucite steering...
