I'm 86, have arthritis in my back and shoulder, but with exercise I get relief. I'm looking forward to another yr driving around the lakes near us in northwest lower Michigan. No long trips however.

I'm 86 and drive a 29 roadster and a 36 coupe. My first car in high school was a 30 model A and a yr later a 35 coupe, then a 4l. All Fords and I'm not ready to quit.

Thanks for all replies. I've learn that ballast resistors can get red hot. I put the old one back on and it seems to be working ok with at least 2.5 volts to the coil. Waiting for Skip to rebuild...

Thanks Ken. I see a lot of polished alum. intakes. They look nice, but how on earth do they get them that way with out a whole lot of work?

GM, thanks for your info on the intake manifold. Wouldn't the cast iron hold up better having the generator and fan on top of it ? Is the CI the very same shape as the Alum. Thanks for your help. ...
