I have done the same thing with our 26 T truck. I took it out in a 12 snowstorm (I live in Maine). It went great in the snow with no chains.

We have an unrestored 30 model A 5 window coupe that starts fine but is over heating and the muffler and exhaust track starts to glow with heat and backfires like a shotgun when you turn it off.
