the tag on it reads 1A3-L
main case reads T85C-1A

OK. 1946 sedan V8 all stock 6V. 115 -125 lbs compression, installed electric fuel pump. new plugs & wires. been thru 3 distributors & 3 carbs. and run all new fuel lines. The car will run 75 plus mph...

some times my 46 w/original coil won't start, put a later model 6v coil on and had same problem. I ran a jumper off a toggle switch to the coil and hit it briefly to start when needed. problem...

are silicone wires ok to use in the tight crammed together dist. cap of a 46 flat head ???? I have checked (I believe) all other areas fuel & ignition . can these plug wires be jumping spark???
