Installing Dash Board in '32 3w Coupe
What is a good way to hold the threaded offset receivers in place when doing install of front belt rail or dash board? I assume they might need some slight movement for screw alignment.

A length of 8 7/8" seems to work ok. Don't know if this length is available but a longer rod can be shortened and welded. With some careful filing no one will know.

Painting hood hardware on '32 car
Are '32 hood handles and hood hold sockets painted body color or black? I don't recall ever seeing them painted different than body color but studying parts from two non black hoods I am finding...

Thank you Bruce for the offer. But I restored/repaired two other crank bearings today so have the part needed. The one that I repaired had been trimmed of the upper part but is now complete again.

Thanks for suggestions. It doesn't make sense to possibly complicate later hood fitment problems. Can anyone tell me the overall height dimension of the smaller crank bearing?
