Straight Slotted instead of Cross-Point

What's the accepted history behind Henry Ford useage of the slot-head screws over the use of cross-points? Were they cheaper or what? I think they actually look better -- the slot-heads I mean...

I've not traveled on major hiways (in S. Fla), and 40 mph has been as fast as I gone in the '31. Since this event is first of June, 2020, I've plenty of time to plan/decide. When I graduated (1960)...

The pickup is kind of cramped, not the most comfortable seat. You will want to get out and move the legs pretty often. And taking the time to stop and check things out is part of the fun![/QUOTE]

With basily stock '31 Pickup, 3.78 rear end, what would your preferred crusing speeds be should you consider while on a 1,200 mile trip, time isn't important.

On E-Bay someone is selling: 1935-47 Pickup Door Hinge Pin Mirrors. Has anyone ever tried one on say the middle door hinge -- right-hand side?
My right side mirror (upper hinge) just can not be...

Hey -- I soaked the lid in Marvel Mystery Oil and it came right off. The replacement matched (Mikes) the one taken out and works now.

LED Lens

Be aware if your ordering just the LED Lens. My order came with the licenses plate lens -- the lens part that shines down on the plate -- the LED's are this size: 3 inches at the wide end to 2 1/2...
