I packed mine with white lithium grease 15 years ago, and it seems to have survived OK. You might also check with John Connelly at Columbia Two Speed Parts...

Re: Brake light pressure switch

I use a NAPA SL128 mechanical stop light switch mounted on the wooden floor board behind the brake pedal arm in my '40. I think it was originally used on 1950's Chevrolets.

Re: 1948 ford convertible garnish molding question

Along this line, you might be able to use the windshield welting from 1940. Don't know if it's still available, but Roy Nacewicz had it.

Re: WWII gas ration sticker placement?

My father got a "C" sticker as an airline pilot, I guess to make sure he could always get to the airport to fly his trips. He had a '37 Ford with "Denver" heads and dual exhausts.

Re: steering columm bushing

A few years ago, I used a Timken/Torrington BA-1210 Needle Bearing inside 1.25"x1.437"x1.5" and 1"x1.25"x1" bronze sleeves for my '40. Total cost at a local bearing supply house was $6.31.

Re: 35 Ford Wont Crank

As Kurt in NJ says, the starter may be jammed in the flywheel. If rocking the car in high gear doesn't free it, hit it (the starter, that is) a couple of times with a hammer. It won't hurt it.

Re: Are the front seats from a 40 Tudor and Coupe the same?
