Re: Splash Apron Mounting isses

It looks like these are painted already. Always a good idea to fit everything before you paint the parts as you've learnt. Also all aftermarket sheet metal parts have to be worked. I.E the holes...

Re: 1929 Hood Latches won't reach

Just a fix. I would shim up the hood shelf by making the wood blocks thicker where you need it. Measuring the distance thats short will tell you what you need.

The real problem maybe a sag at the...

Re: Drivers door sag

First check and make sure the pins or hinges are worn. It there's no movement when you lift up on the door then you need to shim the rear cowl bolt to lift the door. JP

Re: How to measure front wheels to straight ahead

Here's a trick to check the placement of the front and rear wheels to each other in a straight line. Get about 12' of elastic thread and attach a fish hook or safety pin opened up on each end. Then...

Re: Any good tips to lining up body bolts?

Looks like your heading the right way. Now you'll need to install the hood and start the fitting of the body. Start at the cowl and work your way back. Adding shims as you need them to get everything...

Re: 1929 Model A steering box play

On the 7 tooth, you can only adjust the end play of the steering shaft. This is done by adding or removing shims in the lower bushing. This is the part with the 4 bolts in it that holds the Bail for...

Re: Dealing with pitted body panels?

A thought. Remember all polyester products take 10 days to through dry. After 10 days you'll get less shrinkage of the Topcoat. JP
