Re: Some Project Updates

Dick - thanks for the compliments- I really appreciate it. No, I did not win anything at the Jalopyrama. I was just happy to have been selected to attend!

No, Mark - thanks for your compliments as...

Re: need a wiper repair kit

Wipe it in and leave it alone is what I do. Use the straight RainX and not the spray that is also a glass cleaner - lasts longer. Motorcyclists use this on their helmet shields, planes use it, and it...

Re: need a wiper repair kit

Sorry but the stock vacuum wipers are marginal at best - leave what you have now alone and use RainX. Water just flows off the windshield when standing or moving. I have been in hard driving...

Re: 32 Seat adjuster spring?

Hmmmm - the body of my new ride was from a restored car. It was like a ratchet setup and a piece bolted to the floor to lock it down in different positions. You twist the handle and the seat will go...

Re: A Young Mans Questions

My grandson was in my new ride - 32 5 Window - and wanted to know how to roll down the window since he could not find the button. I pointed to the window crank and he pulled it but did not turn it. I...

Re: Paint removal without harming polished head

I would think paint on a polished surface would not stick very well. Perhaps a plastic stick shaved down to something of an edge similar to a chisel that can get between the fins would be able to...

Re: Dodge caravan seat , which one?

I like the third seat so I can cut it down to exactly what I want - better seat is the 92-97 3rd seat out of a Chevy Suburban or the like GM product. They fold down to gain access behind and if yo...

Re: Pertronics

It just might be your coil. I always use a ballast resistor with a Pertronivs ignition - had conversations with Bubba’s about my problem a few years sgo and we came to the conclusion to use a ballast...

Re: Best coil to use with a petronix ign

Check in with Bubba at Bubba’s ignition - I use the Bosch blue coil with no internal ballast resistor, a Pertronix ignitor II., and I use the old Chrysler external ballast resistor. Bubba’s had done...

Re: T-5 trans interchange

I use this site all the time. Biggest thing to remember is that you have a lot of interchangeability with the T5s so if you find one at a good price but not what you want, scoop it up for parts....

Re: Engine quit, won't restart

Bubba’s uses Bosch coils - I use the one without the built in ballast resistor and run the Chrysler ballast resistor. Works very well for my purposes ......

Re: 1934 Pickup Frustration- Ready to jump out a one story building

Spoke with Pete about his problem this morning. Grease goes through the fitting and I said there must be some old fried up grease in there that is impeding flow. But one thing Pete told me sticks...

Re: T-5 trans interchange

Pete and jseery nailed it - my avatar has a T5 behind a stock motor. Running 85 mph at 2800 rpm. .86 5th, 32” tall tire, 3:54 banjo center. At 75 I wanted to run 2500 rpm and that was my gauge for...
