Re: Ford Starter

It’s funny because the 52 and 53 Ford parts book do not show a starter for 6 cyl std. I know they made one because I have one!

Wondering if I could get an end cap for my car and put on a tractor...

Re: Ford Starter

I wonder if the shaft length is the same deal as the V8. Will the shorter one work on a 6 std?

Wonder if they are both 9 tooth
I do know the V8 has an L shaped clip that the 6 does not have

Re: Ford Starter

As I remember, and it was years ago, it had to do with the length of the shaft. Mine was to short or to long. I can't remember. I think the bolt pattern was the same, but that was a long time ago. ...

Ford Starter

I see ton of used 6v starters for tractors. Does anyone know if a tractor starter will work in a car? How would I cross reference it. Can I cross a truck to car starter? thx

Re: No reverse BW R-10

I took a piece of paper and cut it so I would have something square to check the pin without taking off the rail. Sure enough the pin was just a bit off. I took a big hammer and kept hitting the...

Re: No reverse BW R-10

I believe I have the Pawl in correct because it will let the rail pass when solenoid in off position. However I noticed that when I shift into reverse that the rail comes out, but only part way. ...

Re: No reverse BW R-10

I put the transmission in neutral, then engaged the lockout. The output shaft turns freely in both directions.

I then put it into first, and output turns freely in one direction only.
I then put...
