Renfrew hockey stick grip tape was my solution to the cracked wheel in my '39 p/u. Isn't sticky like electrical friction tape.

I believe the seat is the same as a p/u. The p/u has a riser that takes the place of the under seat tank found on the big trucks. The wood bottom of the bottom seat has 3 indented holes that align...

The neutral safety switch is either bad or possibly out of adjustment. Not familiar with one on your T Bird but my guess is that the switch need replacing.
