Re: Foamy Transmission Oil

I know this not your first rodeo, but I still have to ask. Is the vent clean?

I have never had this happen to one of our cars. I use half 600w and half STP.

Enjoy.

Re: main seal leak

Check your oil breath. What weight oil are you using?

How much oil is it leaving when parked?

Re: Yard art 28 coupe

Give the kid some credit. Most people would have sent the car to the scrap yard.

I wonder what will finally happen to it?

Enjoy.

Re: Help - Front End is Off Center

I think you unfortunately might have a bend frame.

I would get it up in the air and start measuring things.

Years ago we had a car that was hit on the drivers side at the front wheel. Bent...

Re: Steering Wheel

I would replace the wheel. Not a big job.

That will take care of your two problems. Cracks and black rubbing off.

Enjoy.

Your wheels Bakelite is breaking down.

Is the wheel cracked?

Re: The price of a Model A Ford

If you have an antique that is one of one or one of a few, than value will be a different story.

When you have an antique that is one of almost five million, well there are more to go around.

Re: Sport coupe vs. cabriolet

I would love to see how this conversion was done up close.

Looks like you can’t use the rumble seat with the top down.

Just like speed equipment or add on after market products. Once it leaves...

Re: Roadster or Coupe?

Everyone has there opinion. It most likely is based on what body style they own now.

Have you looked at the Sport Coupe? It has a soft top like the roadster but it does not go down. Has...

Re: Steering Wheel Slop

I would Jack up the front end. Put on Jack stands and check everything. I don’t think you will find it is just one or two things. You have way to much play.

How does it drive down the road?

Re: Multiple Oil Leaks after sitting?

I’ve owned and driven Model A Ford’s for over 60 years. Everyone has “dripped” oil. Not really a leak, just a few drips. I call it marking it’s spot.

In my view there is a difference between a...

Re: Multiple Oil Leaks after sitting?

Try the 250w, just add some STP. It will make it thicker. Help with the shifting to.

Enjoy.

Re: Multiple Oil Leaks after sitting?

I would drain the oil and put in 20w-50 HD oil. You might also want to add one blue bottle of STP as the last half quart. I think your running to light of an oil.

In the transmission, I would...

Re: Full Front Suspension Rebuild

Check with the suppliers. They all list them. If you can, buy a USA made spring. Donít look just for the cheapest, get the best you can afford. You will only be doing this once.

Think of...

Re: Paint "Stars" in fenders

We under coated our 1929 in 1981.

If you don’t mind the look, it has worked fine. No stone chips anywhere. No rust problems either. You just have to prepare the surface before hand.

Enjoy.

Re: wont fire

Check anything you changed. Most likely you have created your own problem.

Did you change the oil? Put some MMO in the cylinders to help the valves. Check you carb, jets. Wiring to.

We have...

Re: Rear axle shims

Without the key, or with a broken key the car will stop moving. However, the key being there is not the only reason the car moves. The key along with the torque on axel tapper is how it was...
