Highlight your issues and troubles with the car. Are you having trouble rolling up the windows or going down the road at 45mph?

Re: Ď34 Roadster side curtain rods?

From David G's post the other day, it sounds like he still may have some in his possession that he sorted for you? If that's the case, I'd be interested in a 35-36 phaeton set.

Re: Ď34 Roadster side curtain rods?

Did you talk to Third Gen? I'm in the same boat with 35/36 phaeton curtain rods. I found a set of original side curtains I can use for patterns, but no rods yet.

Re: 1936 Phaeton - Engine cowl louvre (1) missing

Those are hood sides. The hood is comprised of four pieces, two top pieces, and two side pieces. Both are unique to left and right.

But again, you're referring to hood sides.

Re: 1936 Phaeton - Engine cowl louvre (1) missing

He's talking about the louvered side panels in the engine compartment that bolt up to the fender. I can't remember the correct term, but I think they're often referred to as inner fender panel.

Re: 1935 Phaeton question

What's the body tag number say? Should be on the passenger side firewall, facing "up".

Re: Need a high altitude '36 carburetor

I know Mark and Gary well. I’ve bought a lot of A parts from Gary, and a lot of super nice 36 parts from Mark. You and I have met many times before, usually at the now defunct San Diego swap meet. I...

Re: Need a high altitude '36 carburetor

I thought it was the one Mark Williamson had and maybe even still has. It's similar, but his was black and I believe an original paint car.

I have three Snap On obstruction wrenches. These let you torque the cylinder head with the distributor in place. Great tool that is no longer made. $60 each, plus shipping.

Re: B Carb on an A?

I have a B carb on a B manifold. It works great. I turned the carb mounting bolts to get the carb to rotate and align to fit the A attachments.

There are several on ebay right now, from about 1997 to 2012. This looks like your best bet at this point. Either way it looks like you need to adapt, buy an older one, or use the online version. ...

Re: Trailering Model A Cabriolet

I've driven my A's at 60-65 mph all day long without an issue, sometimes hitting 70 mph on a downhill, or with a tailwind. If you are worried about damaging the top on a trailer at highway speeds,...

Re: Block temp before thermostat opens

No.

You can always enlarge or drill more bypass holes in the thermostat to speed up the opening.

What does your modern car do in this situation? Let’s not over worry about something that...
