You could make your own out of Lexan. We used to make them in our metal shop class using a plastic strip heater. All you have to do is heat the plastic and make a single lap joint on top and bottom....

You are probably better off fixing the problem you now have and continue using the stock distributer. Opinions vary. Contact some of the folks in this thread. Hope you got the OFFY heads listed...

Support the cable with a plastic wire tie so that at least 4 to 6 inches of it feeds straight
into the speedometer. Sometimes a drooping speedo cable will cause dysfunction.

Gary, be sure to install the 1940 bottom door seals and sill plate. I never removed the doors and hinge pins are still nice and tight. No droop or drop. The door seals are actually quite resilient...

Do NOT bolt a pre 1949 Ford V-8 engine to an engine stand buy the cast bellhousing.
Not safe. May break the cast iron. 1949-53 there is no problem.

If possible please post a couple of photos of "the best invention" you mentioned
in your post above. Does this invention fill the tire with exhaust from the combustion chamber?
