My carb would got wet around base. Started and ran great. Often had fuel smell. When warmed up acted like it was flooded. I finally pulled carb to rebuild and check needle and seat. . Looked great...

i agree with others. Take out the distributer and put it in a vice. Put some heat on the screw. If that does not get it take the distributer to a shop with some older mechanic that has worked on A's...

Happy birthday. Keep on driving that A. I am also 75 and my time with my 1929 A on sunny days is truly a highlight. Didn't get mine until I was 71. Should have done it 30 years ago.

thanks for all the suggestions. I want to keep it a mostly original daily driver. I will start building a library from service manuals, internet sources, and selected manuals. Appreciate the advice....

I would also suggest a visit to the Auburn cird Duesenberg museum in Auburn In. It shoukd be just off indiana tool road on your way home.
