Re: 1930 Model A Tudor Value?

My guess would be this car has had minimal care and probably needs mechanical restoration.

Re: Make it Stop! ('46 Deluxe)

I would suggest measuring the diameter of the drums. If they are too far worn you will not have enough stroke to push the shoes out the first pump.. In that case usually a second pump will get...

Re: Who sells frame bolts that look like rivets

A guy in our Model A club has a neat way to rivet. He touches an arc welder cutting rod to the rivet. Turns the entire rivet red hot. Buck it,hit it with the gun and done. I have helped him do this a...

Re: Steering wheel position

I accidentally put my steering wheel in non x position when I rebuilt my steering box. I quickly changed it so I could see instruments as I had it before.

Re: Newbie '29 Speedster project, the good the bad and even the ugly (maybe)

I would recommend using original used Ford rear axle nuts. The new ones are soft and have poor thread fit.

Re: Restored Nebraska Model "A" Is junk

In Illinois I think this would be a salvage title. There are companies that specialize in getting a title for these cars. Need to have your ducks in a row when restoring an unlicensed car.

Re: bleeding brakes

I use a pressure bleeder. Pump to 10psi. Walk around to each wheel with clear bleeder hose and open until no bubbles. I usually do it twice. You never need to worry about getting air or running out...

Re: Crank pulley Question

I have a 59a that came with the rubber seal. The sleeve shown in Gary's pic is an 8ba part I believe.
I needed to replace the pulley so I parted off the spiral part of a 59 pulley and cut a 45* on...

Re: Totaly "Restored" 1st Sport Coupe sold in San Francisco

I do not like the gas tank. The trunk mounts if stock are not heavy enough.
However 32 Fords have the tank in the rear. The car is strange. If he wanted a rear tank with all the work he put in he...

Re: Model A I think I need another

Re: Dealing with pitted body panels?

That sounds like a good product. I used an evercoat liquid putty on my hot rod frame. A spray on would have made it easier.

Re: Brake shoes

My Bolling Brothers repro Lincoln backing plates require a shorter front shoe to self energise.
If in doubt I would call them about your originals and parts needed.

Re: shaking front end

This is often the cause. There is a reproduction rubber ball socket. If you have this it is suggested replacing with original.

Re: Steering column bracket

There is a rail under the dash with bolts holding parts together.
You use 2 of these bolts to hold the new column drop.
