Re: Need advice on my 37 rims & tires

There is a lot of "old wives' tales" justification used these days to qualify the supposed need for tubes. Too many guys are proving that that idea just doesn't hold water. I like to "butter" a...

Re: Need advice on my 37 rims & tires

Re: Zephyr overdrive into 1940 Ford?

Hey Auto Stud....Is THIS the Lincoln OD trans you're talking about, below? IF so, and keeping in mind that you want to retain the torque tube, had you given any consideration to something just a...

There are 107,419 V8s out there currently, plus an additional 217 currently being restored worldwide....times are tough! 16,312 of those V8 Ford bodies currently have Chevy engines installed. 604 of...

Re: Zephyr overdrive into 1940 Ford?

Thanks, Skid! That's the "worthless" 1st gear that I keep preaching about in previous T5 threads. It is likely a transmission that came out of an S-10, which mostly have a 4.03 (useless) 1st gear...

Re: Zephyr overdrive into 1940 Ford?

Hey Skids....Probably a dumb question, but since you've experienced both the 3+1 Merc and the 4+1 T5, especially in the same car, could you elaborate a little on which trans was all-around better to...

Re: Early Ford Coronavirus masks, we are still car people!

I think Ryan has been pretty damned understanding about this unprecedented mess. He has authored more than one thread himself pertaining to these abnormal times over at headquarters on The H.A.M.B. ...

Kind of interesting to remember that it's always been "Skip's Coils" that everyone refers to...NOT "George's Coils"! You can bet that without Skip's long-term dedication and demeanor, we all might...

Since I'm the bozo that helped Heard design and develop the fan he runs on his coupe, I'm going to post the link just below with the full story and a bunch of pictures. If you want to see a few more...
