Wow, ok. That's good to know. Anything else that is extremely obvious that help date it?

Re: So when would my car actually have been made?

Hmmm...not sure I'd want to attempt to take the body off, I mean I want to know but proabally not that badly and I'd be afraid of screwing it up but thanks for insight as to how it could be done, I...

So when would my car actually have been made?

I have a 1930 Phaeton which according to the Model A motor production charts the motor was made on Feb 15th, 1929. But I'm sure the car was not made on that day (seems awfully early in the 1929 year...

Re: Installation of Rebuilt Original Ignition Switch

I'm by no means an expert but I just did this last summer. I didn't drain any antifreeze, in fact your comment was the first I heard of that one. Also there was no need to remove the distributor...

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Yeah that will never happen, we've been married almost 25 years and were still in love and even the best of friends.

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Yeah I've given that some deep thought as well but I don't think it's the long term answer that I'm looking for. What about one those accordion wall dividers that hang from a track suspended from...

Talking Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Yeah I've thought about the off my property thing but I'd be way too nervous about it, bad enough I fear that something could happen here but even more so if it's out of my sight. Too many crazy...

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Hmm....I'll take it all under consideration, we'll except for selling the Vette part. It was my dream car growing up and I finally acquired it in 2003 so it's got a warm spot in my heart. BUT, if...

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Yeah I'd love to have a garage out back and would have done that years ago if it not for the contour of the land in the back yard... Hard to explain but I just don't see how it would work for me. ...

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

It was originally a two car garage, then I added on a third stall and parked a Corvette in it. Now the Phaeton is parked in there as well that means I have two older cars parked in the garage while...

Re: Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

That's the problem. Michigan weather changes by the minute and I know that were only just into the winter months that the moment I take down all the tarps and covers that are "protecting" it that it...

Ok, I've got a question for the Northerners....long.

Winter time sucks and whats worse is that the Model A is all wrapped up tight in the garage to keep the wind, rain and salt off the car since my wife uses the other half of the garage for her boring...

Re: Cleaning a Phaeton top ??

Yeah new tops are EXPENSIVE, something like five grand? Plus I couldn't even think about doing it myself from the video's I've seen so I'd have to pay someone to do it. I'd much rather keep this...

Re: Cleaning a Phaeton top ??

I've used Mean Green on other stuff for years, it's supposedly a little more aggressive then Simple Green. I've got plenty of it around the house, but no Simple Green.....hmmm....

Re: Cleaning a Phaeton top ??

Yeah I get that but I wont hold anyone responsible. I'd test in a small area first. I just figured someone out there has tried it before with positive results. Maybe like some Mean Green or...

Cleaning a Phaeton top ??

My Phaeton top has some bad stains that are rather ugly and I was wondering what would be the best thing to use on it to help take some of the ugliness out? It's been on the car for over 50 years...

Re: Trunk to luggage rack bolt or straps.

For the last 50+ years that I know of my Phaeton has only had two straps is all. I did however replace them last summer with new ones but I roughed them up to make them look old again instead of...
