i had the same problem. had a friend weld a piece of 1/4" square bar to the end of the '37 shaft & cut threads on the end. it worked fine.

i no longer have it, but in the 80"s, i bought a n.o.s. 16" x 4" wheel with the slope from joe mac at ford obsolete. he told me that it had been sold over the ford parts counter post-war.

that wheel looks like it might be a cut down 16" center welded to a 15" outer. seen that done before, but never understood why, since 15" merc & pick-up wheels were easy to find!

i have a '46 delivery & my wife & i just measured it. we get 197" long, 74" wide & 67" high. ( it's lowered about 3" ) it has bumper guards in front ,but none in back.

i think the pressure on the sidewall is the maximum pressure, not the recommended p.s.i. for any particular car. is this wrong?

v.h.t. has a cast iron exhaust paint that lasts a long time. (12 years on my flathead & is probably still there - i sold it 2 years ago.)

years ago, i bought a n.o.s. '40-'41 wheel (16"x4") with tapered drop center from joe mac (of ford obsolete). he told me it was a replacement sold over the ford parts counter after ww2. could be,huh?

any one recognize this part? it seems to go under the radiator, but does not show on the ford exploded drawing of the '46 front end. i disassembled this car 30 years ago so i'm not even sure it came...

what have you owners used for back door weatherstripping? also, what about headliner bows when the originals are missing? i found that sedan bows aren't even close! :( thanks!
