Talking Re: Rewiring . . . What would you do different?

I'm sorry F.M., but on the "ignore list" you must go. I'm sure you can find someone else to hound. Enjoy.

Re: Rewiring . . . What would you do different?

I'm still interested in hearing what you have to say. But you'll have to write something other than gibberish.

Re: Rewiring . . . What would you do different?

Yeah, that was prior to the wires being replaced. I think the picture was perty good, considering the lighting and that it was taken with a phone camera. Not optimal, but good enough to get the point...

Re: Rewiring . . . What would you do different?

?????? Feel free to explain . . . anytime. All the wiring in the vehicle is now modern. Getting her ready for a blown V8 and chop that top. You'll love the digital dashboard we're planning for her.

Re: Rewiring . . . What would you do different?

I suppose I could put it back in. :D

FYI: This wiring project was finished back on the 26th of October. Thanks to everyone that chimed in. All great ideas . . . except for the idea of going...

Re: Rewiring . . . What would you do different?

Mine was the original cloth covered harness. In the end I used modern red, green, white and black wire. I considered fusing individual circuits but the excess wiring held little benefit. Ended up...

Spark Control . . . on hills, under load, etc.

Do you adjust your spark as described in the Model A guide when climbing hills? Just curious, as I may have experienced this scenario on a number of occasions and didn't realize that "retarding" the...

Re: What spark plugs are you currently using?

F.M. is such a hoot.

Received some W18's today and took them for a short drive. We need more quality time together before I can form an opinion.

Re: Fraud Alert

Yep, the old scammers at work. Happened to me with a car online. I was ready to dish out some big bucks. But luckily I caught on really early in his game. So from then on I played him like a harp. It...

Re: What spark plugs are you currently using?

I think folks may be getting this thread mixed up with the other thread that I posted regarding fouled plugs. That's okay. I'm finding out what preferences there are for spark plugs.

Re: What spark plugs are you currently using?

If you all make any big changes to your spark plug choice please let us know why. I think this thread has given me a little insight into spark plug selection.

Re: Analyze this . . .

Ibn Recently, it only took a few miles to foul the plugs to where the car would no longer start. So, just for now, l'm using 30 as a gauge troubleshooting wise. Oh, l would love to just drive . . . ....

What spark plugs are you currently using?

Yeah, consider this a poll. Give the brand and part number of your plugs. Are you happy with them?

Re: Analyze this . . .

I had found a plug cross reference that put the 3076 up there with the W18. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Re: Analyze this . . .

Well, to my dismay the Autolite 3076 plugs did not help. They did make the engine sound like it was firing more assertively during idle but . . . on the road any time you would give it gas the plugs...
