Do you have a vacuum gauge ? If so see what its reading , see if low and steady or it fluctuates . Check for a leak at the vacuum wiper connectors , and vacuum brake , next i would eliminate each...

A one piece or original style with hinge ? My old street A ( radical sbc) I raised the rear center support 3/4” and used rubber bumpers on the curve . Just in front of the windshield is a good spot...

Where do you live ? I recently removed a 37 lb 21 stud from a 34 and it was a bolt in , replacing the stock 34 . Can you take pics of your front frame ? I have no info on adapting the lower pulley ....

Had vertigo so bad , I was on all fors trying to find my mouth with my hand . No joke , everything was spinning , sick to my stomach, sweating. Finally had some tests and came up with Minars disease...

I agree with Bored & Stroked , ive only seen it on sbc when using either the wrong bearing for the crank or the crank not ground correctly.
Ive had a similar runaway on a build early in my career .....
