I machined a piece of a cylinder rod and threaded it for the perch. I will place a piece of hardened rod inside so the pressure will be on the perch and not only on the threads when tightened down.

I rebuilt it years ago probably 20 . It seamed to shift then. I bought the valve on the firewall and all the linkage from someone that was supplying replica units. I wonder if the grease is dried up....
