Newer photos suggest it may have been in such disrepair that it was not feasible to restore

I was a member of the Tulsa Early Ford V-8 club in high school 40 years ago and am now a member of the Natural State (Arkansas) Early Ford V-8 club. Both groups, great people

On my '47, it's on the driver side frame under the hood, near the front of the engine compartment between the engine crossmember and the radiator, stamped on top of the frame rail.
