okay. i should note, it was the previous owner who had it wired as such. Is it possible that the reverse polarity is whats causing the misfire/sluggish engine?

I have an original pair of 1930-1931 steel fenders. came off a 31. 250$ takes them. located in Clarkston, Michigan. They will need a good amount of bodywork, but there is no rust.

Hey Tom, it backfires when letting off the gas. Doesn’t do it at idle, but when I shut the car off today, it shot like a pistol.

That would make sense, the previous owner said he adjusted the timing just before I bought it. Must of forgot to put it back in!
