Re: Aligning hood

I think all of the reproduction radiator shells are foreign made chrome ones. I also believe they are off in the specs a bit too because I have trouble when I tried to crank my engine to get the...

Re: Gear Tooth Pitting

Looks like I am going to hunt one down. Not a problem because this is just a spare and I am in no hurry. I will inspect the other gears tomorrow to see if the teeth are just as badly worn. I was...

Re: Trans oil leaking from speedo housing

When I just rehabbed my trans, someone thought it was just a hole and plugged it with body filler. A drill bit and now no more leaks.

Replating Gear Shift Lever

I want to get two gesr shift levers replated but they are kind of rusty and I want to clean it. I don't think blasting is the best option.

Re: Trans oil leaking from speedo housing

A quart to an empty trans is not too muc, not even more than that. Something else I think.

Re: Trans oil leaking from speedo housing

Are you sure it is trans oil or could it be lubricant in the speedometer cable? Happened to me when I put graphite lubricant on the cable.

There is a gasket that is supposed to go behind it but I...

Re: Roadster Top Won't Go Up?

Thematically, that fits in with the rest of the PO's "restoration." What can be done?

Roadster Top Won't Go Up?

Ever since I replaced the stanchions and frame with originals the top hold downs will not fit on the stanchions. The top bow is original. Doesn't seem to line up vertically or horizontally. 28...

Re: What does "All STeel" mean?

I think what people are trying to say when they say "all steel" is that the car has had no body work done or has no body filler. I mostly have seen people throw the term on original cars. This car...

Re: Transmission Reassembly
