Brent I have two super nice originals and there is no texture to the finish. it just looks a little like heavy paint.

the seat bracket goes between the knob and the shaft. remove the knob install the bracket reinstall the knob then you will see how it works. you should put a thin washer on each side of the bracket.

AR head lights

pretty nice AR head lights. no ford script on buckets, single bulb, fluted lens. they are driver quality or if you want show they will replate nicely. $125 plus shipping.

the window regulators and door latches in the 68Aand B`s all the way up to mid 30 are the same as the Briggs straight window four door.

there is all kinds of rivet tools on Ebay. look it up under tonka toys rivets. I have a few of them. the C clamp one work pretty good for the hood corners if the hood is is already installedon.

it appears you have the wrong cowl lace. the 30-31 which you have, is bigger and does not have the wire. Bratton`s show the correct one that you should be using.

you can install a 6V Optima in a Ford V8 case. they are 1" longer than a Model A case.

I did try to figure out a way of doing just that. but failed. it would pretty neat if someone comes up with...

if they are original 28-29 and all the way to mid 30 handles, remove them. the original key number is on the shaft. A&L can cut you the key. as long as someone has not mast with it.

no they are just holes in the body cross member. they take bolts, nuts and lock washers.
i think they are 5/16x3/4 NF

contact cement and put holes in the wind lace where the door panel clips go. so when you install your door panel, it helps to retains the wind lace to.

yes they are supposed to face upward. the arms are a forging they do NOT break very easily, you already have the two bolts out of the radius rod remove the front bolt and remove the radius rod and...

the header cover gets nailed in before you install the visor and crown molding. and you can`t instill the top until all that is installed

that is NOT a 31 handle, it is a 30 or earlier. the 31 have a notch in the face for the release. it is called a removable cylinder. before that you had to take the handle apart to remove the cylinder.
