A couple of things come to mind, accelerator linkage for initial accelerator squirt, timing set correctly, and plugged or restricted of fuel cap. As said before timing set with vacume hoses...

Maybe spring is pulling throttle shaft to tight, try adjusting idle screw to overcome spring pressure an regain idle . Just a thought.

Has anyone made a carb spacer out of hardwood? I remember reading about someone doing that but cannot recall who when or where. Just wondering how the fuel mixture affected the wood. Any comments...

Thanks for feedback guys. I used them in series as an additional transmission cooler for a F100 that I used for towing a camper, never had any overheating issues so it must have helped. Thanks...

You might try pulling the plug wires at the plug to make sure you are getting spark at the plug. Just a thought Jim

I know it is a PIA but you might try pulling plug wires at the plug instead of the dis cap. That way you know the spark is getting to the plug. Just a thought. Jim
