Thanks that is what I was looming for. I think if I slow down the fast idle a bit it will help, then I will lean the choke a tiny bit at a time.

I have a 57 Fairlane with a unlock. Put a new Holly Carb. On it with electric choke. When the engine is cold it won’t kick off of fast idle like I would like it to. I understand it will come off...

Got it working. Shifts a bit erratic at some different speeds, I need to back off the throttle a bit then it shifts. Kind of like a manual with overdrive.
