Check to make sure that the rotor tip isn't striking some of the spark plug wire contacts in the distributor cap body , as the distributor shaft turns . Sometimes the plug wire contacts are too long...

When I was pretty young , driving a model A was a thrill !!! I got my first model A in 1960 . I turn 73 this year and driving the model A is still fun .

The first post on this thread says that he changed to a Snyders six to one head . The original compression ratio was only four point twenty two to one .
