Re: 8BA doesnt have power

Believe the Flamethrower coils come in both 1.5 & 3.0 ohms, so you would want to check and see what it is.

Re: oil filter return pipe on early V-8

The early add-on oil filters used the fuel pump stand as an oil return and then later switched to a timing cover return. I believe the switch was related to oil vapor issues out the oil fill on the...

Re: Installing replacement pistons

You need to check the piston clearance. Forged pistons normally require more clearance than cast. If you hone the cylinders you need to figure out how to not contaminate the rest of the engine. If it...

Re: tourque tube leak

There is a speedometer gear chart in the Green Book. Looks like an 18 teeth gear to me.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall

The upper right relay looks like a horn relay, not sure what the other unit is. They are not original pieces for sure.

Re: Distribator off by one tooth - Pulley casting number

I've had a hard time following this for the same reason, not sure what is really going on here.

Re: 1936 Ford Coupe firewall

Can't vouch for the accuracy, but here is an internet photo. If you are wanting 100% correct, like Don suggested your best bet would be a documented source.

Re: 6V Voltmeter

Might consider getting with you electronic friend, should be easy to get the voltage corrected from a 12 volt gauge. Then would just need a faceplate for it.

Re: How do I get pressure plate out.

No advantage in racing either, in fact a disadvantage. The only advantage of an 11 in clutch that I am aware of is pulling tree stumps or hauling a log trailer. :)

Re: Borg Warner T9

Not sure we are all on the same link here. Isn't the T9 a smaller 5 speed similar to a T5? Guess ford35lh will have to clarify what he is referring to.

Re: Help Identify Clutch Pedal

This is a fairly common approach to installing hydraulic brakes in the early frames (33/34).

Re: 32 steering wheel location

You need to explain what you are attempting to do in a bit more detail. If it is totally not stock the location would be wherever you want it to be. If you are attempting to make it look somewhat...

Re: 1936 Pickup High beam indicator light

I'm not sure why Ford didn't use a high beam indicator on pre 38 models. It could be added if you ran a wire from high beam wire to the headlights. But, then it wouldn't be original. :)

Re: Rear Axle Nuts

I've heard bad things about some repros. I would look for NOS ones or known quality new ones.

Re: 1936 Pickup High beam indicator light

The wiring diagrams do not show a high beam indicator until 38. That is also when they added the foot dimmer switch.

Re: Internal Breather Tube

With all the bad engines/blocks around you would think there would be a lot of these type of parts available.
