Remove the battery cable from the solenoid and touch it to the other side going to the starter and see if the starter spins.

Mine is probably not correctly placed but I figured since the gas filler neck is on that side Iíd go with that . I like it , most folks donít even know what it is. I canít imagine owning a Zephyr...

Took me seven years to complete my 39 Zephyr coupe from start to finish and still working a full time job. Going to pickup a 40 coupe basket case in the coming months . It should be a cake walk...

Think it does take gear oil. I have a service bulletin somewhere that calls for 90wt and it was a change from engine oil.

Some had them in 41. All had them starting mid year 50.

Probably where the carb body meets the iron base at the front. Might try tightening the front screw.

Yes and new ones are available. Just make sure when you press in the new one it’s equal on each side for the pedals

I would find the problem as opposed to running jumper wires and adding relays. But that’s just me.

I do know that after being around and driving both the 3 & 5 window coupes of the 1932 line up , the 3 window with the longer door opening from the front makes it easier to get in and out.

Geez, I’ve never had one new or old that was tight on the main shaft,snug but not so tight it had to be pressed on and off.

Probably overfilled. Remove the plug and turn the fan to get the plug hole to the bottom to drain off the excess then replace the plug.
