I think a lot of them were dealer installed, so they wouldn’t be in the VIN. I have a book at home that has a chart with the option prices. I post it when I get home... Mark

That’s awesome!!.... great find... I have some small “Fact “ reprint booklets like that. The vent filters went in the vents in firewall where your fresh air comes in. I got a set on eBay couple years...

I always jacked up a vehicle because I just thought it was easier to get them to take grease. Some times if I had a helper I would have them turn the steering wheel back and forth to get the grease...

You might be right!....the mounts may have been replaced with a Federal Mogul part and the plate came with it. Makes sense. Like I said I didn’t understand why, what I thought was a fairly...

‘51 motor mount plate logo?

I was cleaning the plate that goes inside the front cross member that the motor mount studs go thru. It about 2 1/2” x 4” with two holes in it. I noticed this logo and was curious if anybody knew...

I’ve never had my “gender” wiggle.....not even a little......but I do have a ‘46 parts car that still has the fenders on it...if it’s the same as ‘48....I can get a picture of the braces after work...

Prolonged running on an engine stand isn’t a good idea but, was this one ever run at all?..... Do you know if it ever had compression after the rebuild?.....try some type of penetrant and turn it...
