Re: Working in the garage

PSA, please be careful grinding and welding, especially in a home garage. Almost 2 years ago to this day I lost a large shop fulll of tools and a car, to a fire started with a grinder spark! One bit...

Re: Trailering tips for protection

Unless your car is concours quality, I dont think I would consider putting a cover on it, and if it was an enclosed trailer would be a must. Like was mentioned, a flapping tarp will damage the paint...

Re: Hershey Weather forecast

I have been many, many times and have never bought a program. The one time I wish I had I was looking for 'Old Cars Magazine' to renew and after several wild goose chases never found them. I am the...

Re: Hershey Weather forecast

Seems a bit far out to predict, record temps in the area today, supposed to be low 90's, but then cooling off tomorrow. I always go on Fridays, doesn't seem to me that anyone is leaving then! Late...

Re: Model A prices...going which way?

I have been looking at 'A' prices for the last several years. I think that they have been pretty steady for the last 5 or 6 (yrs) or so. I mostly follow hemmings so there really is no price diff....

Re: What does "All STeel" mean?

THIS. I think fenders are more prone to damage over the many years and easily replaced with fiberglass reproductions. As well as the multitude of fiberglass reproduction body's. When a car is...

Re: Restored Nebraska Model "A" Is junk

And my humblest apologies to the op for getting off of subject, but as strict as Maryland is with the DMV, amongst many other things, there is no inspection requirement for getting tags for an...

Re: Restored Nebraska Model "A" Is junk

I have a 'semi good' Maryland title. Title was transferred legally by the state (MD) to me, however there is a discrepancy in the vin. There is a letter where a number should be, and a number where a...

Re: Restored Nebraska Model "A" Is junk

I dont think its that easy in MD. Example: I buy a used car, I need to title it in my name. In order to do so, I need to present the current title (along with a bill of sale) with the back signed in...

Re: Model A Day this WEEKEND in Gilmore.....

Gilmore is probably my favorite museum. And I have been to quite a few. Sounds like a lot of fun, think I will put it on my calendar for next year.

Re: Air conditioning in a open car

LOL. My wife has a mustang convertible and we drive it all the time in the summer with the top down and a/c on. It does help keep the temp down a bit. I guess on a big open car it would at least keep...

Re: Hershey restaurants

Firstly, those are not crab cakes. They are more like filler cakes and not worth the money. There is Iron Hill Brewery in Hershey. I have not been to that location but have been to the original in DE...

Re: Model a Coupe Roll up rear window

Interesting. I thought that was standard on all coupes. At least it seems all of the ones I have ever seen have had them.

Rumble Seat Windshield

I recently read an article about aftermarket 'wind shields' that were available in the day for phaetons and rumble seat cars. It was interesting and made perfect sense. I have seen many 'high end'...

Re: Best Model A flea markets in the country

I go to Carlisle and Hershey. Not really a comparison. I have late model cars so Carlisle is a good place to hunt things down for that era. You will find early stuff there, just not as much. Hershey...

Re: Best Model A flea markets in the country

MARC always has a good presence at Hershey, and there seems to be a lot of A and T parts there.

Re: Totaly "Restored" 1st Sport Coupe sold in San Francisco

Boy, you guys are tough! Looks like a really nice car to me (guess that's why i should take a Model A guy with me when Im ready to buy). There are a few things that stand out for my untrained eyes,...

Re: This Drives me Crazy!!

That's ok for a quick fix, but problems arise if one ever decides to sell the vehicle. Same for the states that dont require titles. It creates big problems for us slobs that live in states that...

Re: Road trip - past two non model A trucks

First truck is an F100 unibody, 1963. I dont think they made them in 65/66 ( Ford had a few of them that were "lightweight" racers for the drag strip). Chevy looks like maybe 53 or 54. Hard for me to...

Re: Equipment to polish car paint

Griots is really good stuff, I have one of their dual action polishers and it works great with the right products. If you need to get more than that out of it then you need to go the buffing compound...

This reminds me of "The Absent Minded Professor", whom had a 'flubber' powered Model T, he put a sound shaker so people wouldn't know the difference. LOL

Re: hidden radio ideas or just slighty out of sight. wood hide door?

This sounds like a bit of work to make a 'boom box'. If youre thinking of an all in one unit that can be portable. Just get a ready made player. If you can find a place to install some speakers...
