Re: Filler putty for aluminum intake?

Used this stuff frequently. As long as it’s clean, it will stick and doesn’t seem to be affected by engine heat.
It sets hard and you can drill, mill, file, etc.

I’m sure it’s at least as warm down there as it is here already. I’d suggest you open your air/fuel adjustment a little bit more and see if it helps your setup.

Thanks for all the feedback.

Not sure what ‘good brake shop’ suggested adjusting the stationary and the middle adjusters, but ‘46-48’s only have middle adjusters.

Did find a little (DOT5)...

Has anyone had problems balancing brakes on hydraulic conversions (46-48 backing plates) ?
Brakes have been re-bled with no air found; mechanically adjusted each brake to just before drag - but itís...

The Snyder mat works pretty good. It has holes cut into it to go around the headlight bars and hold it in place. It also has slots marked on it that you can cut if you have fender mounted spares....

If you have an actual YOM paint, or a paint code - Iíve used AutomotiveTouchup.com and TouchupDirect.com very successfully..
They can mix touchup size quantities in paint pens, fingernail type...

No, it will not blow air forward thru the radiator unless it is rotated in reverse (CCW from the front) - which it is not - it is still turning CW, it just was not using the curvature of the blades...

Well I flipped it and reinstalled it with the smooth, concave side to rear. Took the same route, corners, relative speeds and stops - and it didn’t exceed 200į or blow off.
While sitting stopped...

Working on an over heating problem with a recent complete restoration (1930) - gets hot and boils over within about 10 miles @200į+ - and noticed the (4) fan blade looking like itís installed...

Yup, wished mine was. Would be more like a 2-spd truck axle.
The two sticks just arenít positioned for ease of shifting.

Do they have a conversion kit ?

If I were doing that, Iíd probably separate the back wall completely, and lay it down, using plywood to keep the belt line seam from being damaged, and work on it horizontally.
