Exclamation Re: What fastener?

I also saw the listing for the binding head screws but it doesn’t list where they are used.
I’m sure more than one place.
Once I saw the pic of the screws in question, I knew what they were. ...

Thank you very much.
Those pics give me a lot to chew on.
I ordered some pan head screws. Should be here by mid week.
The car I’m working on is my avatar pic.

What fastener?

1932 3 window coupe.
There are 4 seam covers (as of yet to find out the proper name) that run along the front edge of the door openings.
Just little 1/2 x 1/2 angles shaped to fit over the seam...

Re: 1932 Ford Deluxe 3W, Murray Body # informal registry, how many are still around?

Probably the engine that was put in it when it was hotrodded in the early 50s.
Thanks for the info. The car is currently registered with this number.
It’s also the number on the title from 1964.

Re: 32 3 window door stuff

Not blaming anyone.
Just was surprised to see one of the biggest at one time going down.
I ordered parts from them back in the 90s and had good results.
I should have been ordering more back...

32 3 window door stuff

Rebuilding the doors.
3-Window Coupe.
I have most all the original hardware but one of the regulator springs popped when I was cleaning it up.
I had pre-cleaned them and worked them all the way...

Re: 32 3 window windshield questions

No glove box knob.
No GLOVEBOX!
See my avatar.
It had (will have again)
gages all across the dash.
I’ve made many things for the
Coupe and the 55 Chevy Handyman I have.
Main reason I...

I made one out of 17-4 stainless.
The base in Millington is all but gone now.

Re: 32 3 window windshield questions

I’m in Millington, Tn (just N of Memphis).
I’m afraid shipping would be killer.
Unless the price of the w/s was REALLY good (for me).
I will have to take it apart and cut it for my car.
See...

Re: 32 3 window windshield questions

Thanks for the info guys.
And here I thought someone
made every single piece for a 32 Ford.
Not these evidently.

32 3 window windshield questions

I’ve been working on getting my windshield frame
ready to go to the platers and I got it apart but I
broke one of the little corner thingies.
I say “thingies” because I don’t know what they are...

Re: Is an Overdrive avail for 1947 Sedan?

The transmissions I have came with the 48 I had. They weren't IN it.
I don't know what they came out of.
I can say one is an open driveshaft side-shift model. The other is buried under a bunch of...

Re: Is an Overdrive avail for 1947 Sedan?

I realize this is a few months old but I have a couple Ford OD trans.
The car they came with was a 48, is that when the OD transmission came out?
Will a V8 trans fit a 6? 48 fit a 47?

I find stock steel torque specs, but not aluminum flywheel specs.
The flywheel I got (Fidanza) didn't list torque spec.
So what do I torque them to and should I use the stock washer plate (if I can...

Re: 1952 merc crank flywheel pin removal

apba12m
I got one of Fidanza's aluminum with steel insert flywheels a few months ago.
Seems like it did take a little extra time for me to get it.
Maybe they make them when ordered, I don't know....

Re: Starter questions

I'm not talking about chamfering it much. Just a good deburr.
I'm a machinist by trade, so I know how and have the tools to do that kind of thing.
The front side of the ring gear is really sharp...

Re: Starter questions

Thanks for the info.
I was confused about the mounting of the
starter and just how it worked.
I will still chamfer the front of the flywheel a bit
Just for my own peace of mind.
