I had an older friend that had an identical jack in his repair shop. It had an automatic safety stop that was spring loaded and as you raised the jack, it would snap into stops for different heights....

This is from a pre-1950 Curtis key manual. You can see by the examples that the 1932-34 barrels are shorter. The hole for the holding pin underneath is positioned so that they can be interchanged,...

34 tack strip from a 5 window coupe. I think the 2 rear pieces could be shortened the appropriate amount to fit a 3 window. Very solid with no weak spots. Probably fit 33...

Thanks David. I will have to re-research my little catalog. If the two rear pieces are indeed different it must indicate that one set is longer.

When reading my 33/34 body parts catalog, it appears to me that 3 and 5 window coupes use the same 3 tack strip moldings. The 33 and 34 have a different letter suffix. Are there any differences?...

I find this interesting as the USA did not enter the war until Dec. 8th 1941. I would think that the 1942 Fords would have been available by then. We must have anticipated the war if Defense Bonds...
