Re: Lincoln brakes

What you really need to be concerned with is the INSIDE Diameter....the BORE dimension of each wheel cylinder. When you take more pictures, PLEASE show the back side of the backing plates also. DD...

Re: Pressure Switch Question

Assuming that you are talking about the BRAKE light PRESSURE SWITCH? Are we close? If so, and since the thread are going to be sort of hard to find a match for for testing, the easiest way to test...

Re: Speaking of engines

Those are both good. Until now, I always looked for either TWO at each end (21-stud), or THREE at either end (24-stud).

Slight change of topic: Did anyone realize that V8-60 heads are the only...

Re: Need H10 coke bottle plugs. Got ANY

Damn! Quite the eloquent, yet spot-on description of two maladies that have unmistakenly festered among groups of "car guys" since the first Model "T"s began to look tattered and run less than...

Re: What a waste of good thirties Ford bodies.

You might be on to something, Mart. That COE/box truck on the left, next to the '59 Buick sure is rather small compared to the cars around it. In fact, the old school bus behind the box truck seems...

Re: What a waste of good thirties Ford bodies.

Hey....I actually have a big spot in my heart for those old & nostalgic hot rod Chevys. Was just curious why you'd pick a 265 over an early 283. The real trick piece would be a '55 265, which is...

Re: 12v battery on 6v system?

Man, I WOULD FOLLOW THE SMOKE! It's entirely possible that the cables going to the two big lugs on the solenoid are either corroded, or loose. Take apart and wire brush/clean the cable connectors...
