I use glass beads for aluminum. Crushed glass for inital cleaning then the large road beads you have as final blast. Gives a shine to the aluminum.

opinions needed on using MSD distributor on flathead

I ended up with a new in the box MSD 8573 distributor. What are your opinions for use in a 276 8ba flathead with an L-100 cam and dual Holley 94's. Thanks Bill

I was pretty sure that was the way but getting old an need to be sure. The only correct flywheel I have is for 11 inch so I will get it redrilled for a 10. Many thanks and Merry Christmas to all.

The 39 to 41 Mercury block was factory relieved. If I read you correctly if I use the 59A style two piece pan I should use the 59A flywheel?

Seems to me, here in western Canada there is getting to be a lot more interest in flathead. Guys are taking small block chevies out and going to warmed up flathead. Fair number are newly retired guys...
