GM- I failed to mention that about half of the tubes in the upper tank were clogged. I found out when I pulled the radiator. Anything I do will be an improvement!

GM- thanks for the input. I'm leaning towards the upper tank/non-flowing tubes combined with a shot pressure cap being the culprit. I was very concerned about a crack or head gasket but the car ran...

Thanks Paul. I've done some research, but still don't know what pressure rating I need for the cap. Plan on getting a new cap anyway when I get the new radiator. Tanks again.
