I put oil on my latches, as they are a moving part. Ever notice how many of the original latches have a hole worn to a slot on the bottom of the latch?

Go to Menards or your local store that sells toilet setting rings. They are made from bee's wax and are the same thing as the Door-Ease sticks, but only cost a couple bucks for much more bee's wax....
