Re: 1951 Victoria rear ring/pinion replacement

A 3.31:1 would work just fine. Maybe even a 3.54:1. BUT, where do you find one? I've been looking for complete rears and ring/pinion sets. These things appear to be made of unobtanium.

Anyone got...

Re: 1951 Victoria rear ring/pinion replacement

Ain't happenin'. It sounds like I'll just be passing on buying this car if I can't replace the ring/pinion. I'll just continue my search for an interim driver while my other projects are "down". See...

1951 Victoria rear ring/pinion replacement

Hello folks. I've got my eye on a 1951 Victoria that's 7 hours away from me. A bit far to be running to look at it every couple of days. The rear is said to be original to the car. I've been reading...

Re: pix of 31 2-dr sedan rear wheel wells please

I've looked at all the catalogs that I have found on-line (see above). I'd really appreciate it if you could clue me in to a vendor that has a good pic. There are probably more vendors that I'm not...

Re: pix of 31 2-dr sedan rear wheel wells please

Unfortunately, they are currently not available. In talking by phone with Bert's they tell me that the folks who used to make these are no longer in business. I think he said due to retirement. He...

Re: pix of 31 2-dr sedan rear wheel wells please

WOW!!!

189 views and no pix. I know you guys/gals are the world's best with Model A's, but I guess you'd rather drive them than photograph them.

Honestly I don't blame you though. I'd much...

Thanx Bob. I had read numerous...

31 lower cowl patch panel recommendations

The ONLY rust in my 1931 two door sedan is the drivers lower cowl. Note: previous owner had cut off the bottom 6-8 inches of this cowl, so I don't have anything to even start with.

(the rear wheel...

Re: parts list: '31 fenders, running boards, etc.

I still haven't began putting it all together; I'm still...

Here's an update just for informational purposes.

A month or two ago I did indeed find someone who was building a hot rod from a complete older restoration '31 2-dr sedan. They only wanted the...

WANTED: all 4 (or any) fenders for a 1931 2-dr sedan

I recently inherited a sedan that was missing the fenders.

I've scrounged up some fenders, but I don't have the skills, time, or patience to repair them to make them useable.

I might have to...

Re: Model A Parts Dealers

Maybe you could just copy the contents down into a new reply and edit the reply before saving it. OR maybe you could do the same thing except in a brand new thread. I for one would sure appreciate it.

Re: Model A Parts Dealers

Yep; really really really old thread.

However, the list that Steve Plucker posted; is it still pretty up-to-date?

Any additions that should be noted? Deletions?

Re: reproduction 1931 two door sedan fenders

Exactly. I've found several vendors who sell them, but haven't ever heard of any that fit "right outta the box", which is the crux of my question.

Re: parts list: '31 fenders, running boards, etc.

When you say "a little work" is that because of the condition of the parts or because Murray 4-door fenders are different from 2-door sedan fenders?

I don't have any of this stuff, thus the...
