I agree. I pretty good at welding - the real issue (for me) is the bead that runs over the wheel well. how would you go about creating the bead, 90 degree into well and the arch.

The quarter panel on my 31 coupe has substantial damage below the window & I can't find a replacement panel.
Could you take a roadster quarter & shorten it between the door and front of wheel well?...
