Re: Using Ford Barn as an distraction
I wish ther was something I could do for any parent that's lost a child. I can't imagine what it must be like. I'm SO very very sorry for you. I will say a prayer for you and your family.

Re: 1950 vs Modern Quaker State Oil Comparison
The roads while I grew up were awful compared to today's roads and vehicles with more than 100,000 miles seemed to always be worn out. It's very common today to see vehicles with over 200 - 300,000...

Re: Waterpump rebuilt - Leakless of not?
If you don't want to rebuild it, this was recommended to me http://leaklessapumps.com/. I did purchase one and an aluminum fan from Snyders. I didn't get the heavy duty pump as mine has a generator...

Re: My "new" 1931 Phaeton
How exactly is the word officially pronounced? It's not a common word, atleast around my area and I've heard it said several different ways. Ways I had no idea someone wouldn't try to pronounce it. ...

Re: I am so happy......With my 1500W gear oil...
This covers it pretty well in my opinion. You can drive a vehicle that's hard for others to drive "UNTIL" they get used to it. You have to become intimate with whatever you are using to truly use it...

Re: tesla Truck
We ordered a Prius just before the gas went insane, 2008 I think. We waited and waited and waited for it to come in so I called corporate Toyota and WOW, got a call from the dealer that our car had...

Re: Cracked Block
Werner, looking from my new perspective, I'd say the welder doesn't know what he's doing, he doesn't have a clue. I would have went with the lock stitch initially but thought the cost too much at the...

Re: Cracked Block
Well I took it to a welder and he told me it shouldn't be a problem as he was experienced in repairing cast. I believe he used a mig welder dedicated to flux core use. The Weld looked pretty good and...

Re: #1 plug question
Probably a stupid question but, what's the best way to check for side to side play in distributor? Use a tool to pry and watch for movement? Grab the shaft with your hand and move back and forth?

Re: Finding a parasitic draw
Mine was the horn. I knew something was drawing as it sparked when I'd hook the battery up. Lucked up and could feel warmth on the horn. I believe one wire was loose.
Good luck with your problem...

Re: 1931 Coupe wiring harness routing
I'm glad this question was asked. I recently installed a new wire harness and was surprised the wire didn't run all the way to the tail light. I didn't realize there was an extension that goes to the...

Re: How Many Model A's are left ?
My friend, who was a sea bee in Vietnam was telling me that he can think of around 60ish model A's in our county. The county has a population 11,000ish.
I'd bet there are very few, if any he...

Re: Engine in my 1929 tudor sounds like it knocks
Are you satisfied with 45,000 miles as the life of a model A engine? Not being a jerk as I have no idea what one should expect as the road conditions are very different for most A's now than when...

Werner, try and not take it personally as it looks like you got screwed by someone, maybe unwittingly. The vehicle may have changed hands more than once after the (((restoration))). But it also may...
