I don’t think you hurt anyone’s feelings.....certainly not mine.....I used to ride up and see him every couple or three months but life-work-health issues have been getting in the way for a while...

Mmeader........my repair projects tend to creep out of control on me.....with that said....you may want to have your radiator “rodded out” to make sure its clean and flushing the block with something...

I’ve read on here that EAB and 8CM were a good choice. Tilden Technologies has a good informative website with a chart that lists Flathead stock cams...... Mark

I’ve only had trouble with 2-stroke equipment. Chainsaw, weedwacker and a small rototiller all got new carbs because the aluminum carbs got corroded. Happy that a place about ten miles from me got...

What part in your picture are you calling the “key”? .....I have no experience with Mercury’s but I have had my ‘51 Ford apart. Is it possible to fabricate the part you need to replace?

My son is a tool and die maker at the local shipyard in Kittery, ME., working on stuff for nuclear subs. He’s told me just holding a part in his hand will warm it enough to take it out of tolerance....

I have a ‘37 motor that has a Y- crossover pipe. No block off plates like a shoebox. You will need to make custom pipes after the manifolds. I believe truck manifolds are similar. I have a ‘51-‘52...
